Highlands Fiber Network

Board of Directors

Highlands Fiber Network (HFN) is a community owned fiber network serving the Issaquah Highlands. I have been involved with the network since 2004 when I moved into the community. I was on the HFN Advisory Council when the network was stilled owned by Port Blakely and I now serve on the Board of Directors since the community purchased the network in 2013.

2013: HFN Purchase

I was part of the community team that purchased Highlands Fiber Network from Port Blakely Communities in 2013. I was involved with modeling financial projections (via big Excel worksheets with all sorts of fun calculations) to determine what purchase price could be supported. I was also involved in doing physical inspection of the network.

2013-Present: HFN Board of Directors

I was a founding member of the Board of Directors for Highlands Fiber Network Inc. which was the legal entity that purchased the network from Port Blakely Communities. I served as Secretary from 2013-2022 and now serve as the Vice President.
